Welcome to Leaply. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Services"), including career simulations, tasks, leaderboards, leagues, quests, XP, and related features. By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Services you also accept that policy.
Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age in your country to consent to use the Services) and able to form a binding contract. If you are under 18, you should have your parent or guardian review these Terms and supervise your use of the Services.
When you create an account, you must provide accurate and complete information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly at hello@meetleaply.ai if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.
You may use certain parts of the Services without an account (e.g. browsing or limited access). Creating an account may be required to save progress, earn XP, participate in leagues and leaderboards, complete quests, or access premium features.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm Leaply, other users, or third parties. You must not:
- Use the Services in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other accounts, or our systems (e.g. by circumventing access controls, scraping, or using bots without permission).
- Disrupt, overload, or interfere with the integrity or performance of the Services or the data they contain.
- Copy, scrape, or redistribute content, simulations, or data from the Services for commercial or competitive purposes without our written permission.
- Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Use the Services to harass, abuse, or harm others, or to send spam or unsolicited communications.
We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have breached these rules. We reserve the right to remove content or activity that we consider inappropriate, even if not explicitly listed above.
Intellectual Property
The Services, including but not limited to the design, text, graphics, simulations, task content, scoring logic, and software, are owned by Leaply or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You do not acquire any ownership rights by using the Services.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content or the Services without our prior written consent. You may not remove or alter any copyright or other proprietary notices.
If you submit feedback, ideas, or suggestions to us, we may use them without obligation to you and without additional compensation.
Payments & Subscriptions
Leaply offers the following plans:
- Free: Access to core features at no cost.
- Premium Monthly: Full access to all premium features, billed monthly.
- Premium Yearly: Full access to all premium features, billed annually.
Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processor. By purchasing a subscription you agree to Stripe's terms and authorise the charge shown at checkout. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
Auto-renewal & Cancellation
Premium Monthly and Premium Yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You are responsible for cancelling your subscription before the next renewal date if you do not wish to be charged. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, your Premium access continues until the end of the current paid period, after which your account reverts to the Free plan.
No-Refund Policy
All payments are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable EU/EEA consumer law. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for unused portions of a subscription period. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at hello@meetleaply.ai within 14 days of the charge.
Failed Payments & Price Changes
If a payment fails, we may suspend or downgrade your access until the payment is resolved. We may update subscription prices with reasonable advance notice; continued use after the effective date of a price change constitutes your acceptance.
Disclaimers
The Services, including simulations, tasks, feedback, leaderboards, leagues, and XP, are provided for educational and skill-building purposes only. They are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
We do not guarantee any particular outcome from using the Services (e.g. job placement, career advancement, or accuracy of scoring or feedback). Simulations and content are not a substitute for professional advice. Use your own judgment when applying what you learn.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Leaply and its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (or, if you have not paid anything, fifty US dollars). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, or your account, at any time with or without cause and with or without notice. Reasons may include breach of these Terms, fraudulent or abusive behavior, extended inactivity, or for operational or legal reasons.
You may stop using the Services at any time. You may also request account deletion by contacting us; we will process deletion in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive termination.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes) are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland and, where applicable, the laws of the European Union.
Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence grant you the right to bring proceedings before the courts of that country.
If you are a consumer resident in the EU or EEA, you retain all rights granted to you under applicable EU consumer protection law, including but not limited to the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the Digital Content and Digital Services Directive. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes those rights.

Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes we may also notify you by email or through the Services. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services.
